Arms,Ammunition,and Marijuana Seized in Tunapuna

A quantity of arms, ammunition and marijuana was seized and 5 persons were arrested by Tunapuna police in an exercise carried out in the area at 2 a.m this morning.

The exercise was led by Inspector Grunt and included officers from the Northern Division Task Force and officers who were called out from leave.

Among the arms seized were a pump action shotgun and a tech 9 rifle.

A man was robbed at around 8:30 p.m while awaiting Transport in Gasparillo last night.

20 year old Ricardo Sahadeo, a Truck Driver of Pooran Street Williamsville was awaiting transport on Union Road in Marabella when a Nissan B14 sentra stopped.

Sahadeo requested to be taken to Gasparillo.

The driver reportedly had 2 other passengers in the vehicle at the time.

On reaching a short distance away a hold up was announced and Sahadeo was beaten and robbed of $120 and his mobile phone valued at $1800.

He was then thrown out of the vehicle at Tarouba Road in the vicinity of the Brian Lara Stadium.

Gasparillo police are conducting inquiries.
