Loading Problems: The site loads too slow or you dont see the menus. - The site was designed to have smallest possible file download, Most of the information use the Flash codec which is available free from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ , and we have created the content to be a very small file size so that viewers with low bandwidth can still have access to the full site. Our Picture Gallery on the otherhand will load quickly once the intial section has started but the pictures in the gallery may take a while. This is because we did not want to compress the pictures too much and present low quality stills. If the site continues to load slowly or stops before completion verify that no other programs (downloads, or other browsers) are accessing the internet at the same time. This decreases the amount of bandwidth you will have available, if you are on a corporate network or share your internet connection, this may affect the speed at which the site loads. If your internet connection is working and your bandwidth is relatively free then see below for other specific errors.
Multi-Media Feed: NO Audio/Video or Codec messages - FIRST of all the VIDEO feed does NOT have AUDIO... we found that to keep the audio attached to the video would deteriorate the the quality of the video feed because of the bandwidth used to package both together. We are using the mms protocol from Microsoft. This is a high quality codec which comes preinstalled with most Windows based PCs, in Media Player 9 and above. There are times when the load on the stream is high and the quality depreciates. To solve this simply wait a few minutes and try again later.
At times the stream is off completely, this was addressed and we have switched to another form of streaming and hope that we have no more drops offs.
