Toco man to appear in court for marijuana possession

A Toco man is to appear in court later this afternoon for marijuana possession. He was arrested when officers from the Toco police station, led by Corporal Ramdeen and PC Casseram, acting on information swooped down on his La Roache Road, Toco home, at approximately 6:30 last night. Police seized a quantity of marijuana at the house and following a search discovered a field of over five thousand fully grown marijuana trees and a nearby camp. An early morning accident has claimed the lives of a couple in South Trinidad. The victims have been identified as Prakash and Michelle Subir of Chester Street in Debe. The two are said to be in their early 20s. Newspower Plus understands that the couple was driving along the SS Erin Road in Debe at about 2 o clock this morning when Mr. Subir lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a light pole.
