Robberies in South Trinidad

Reports say around 5:30 am yesterday Fa-di Tac- kala a 30 year-old Syprian national a bar tender who works at Mario’s Hotel Bagana Street Chase Village in Chaguanas finished work and was standing at the bus shed… when 2 men armed with guns approached him.

They proceeded to rob him of his wallet containing 1030 dollars in cash… 2 cell phones valued 5 thousand dollars…a quantity of jewellery valued 2 thousand dollars and all his immigration documents.

Pc Calliste of Chaguanas Police station is investigating.

Around 5:30 pm yesterday Kevin Small a crane operator was at flower pot beach in Point a Pierre when a woman approached him with a knife

2 men soon followed behind her and held Mr Small down before they proceeded to beat him.

He was robbed of 132 dollars in cash.

PC Sahadeo of Marabella Police arrested and charged 39 year-old Shanti Lalchan 19 year-old Marcus Divertile and a 14 year-old student Kimo Peniston.
