The motion of no confidence passed last night against Attorney General John Jeremie was politically motivated.
Outspoken attorney Israel Khan maintained his un wavering support for the Attorney General while speaking to the media following yesterday’s marathon sitting of the law association.
Independent Senator Dana Seetahal also joined Mr. Khan in his condemnation of the motion.
She described the motion as harsh and said the AG should have been, instead, censured.
However, Chairman of the law Association, Martin Daly says the issue was never about politics.
This morning in a televised interview Mr. Daly explained the problem was the AG’s alleged interference with the functions of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
