State-owned Water and Sewerage Authority reassures… the firing of 3 of its managers is part of a comprehensive organisational plan…
WASA says the move is designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness at the utility.
This was the company’s response to the news of the sacking of Godfrey Ventour, Business Systems Manager… Wayne Joseph, Operations Manager… and Gerard Richardson Manager, Human Resource
On Monday …following a meeting of WASA’s board…the trio was told their contracts …due to expire at the end of this year …would not be renewed.
The WASA statement made no direct mention of the termination of the managers… instead it opted to speak about “changes to the complement of the management team.”
WASA’s communication manager Ellen Lewis explained the adjustments would not adversely affect employees …adding the board has proposed a series of joint consultative meetings with the representative trade unions at the Authority.
