Citizens affected by flooding are being assured by Culture Minister, Marlene Mac Donald, help from the government is on the way.
The Minister said its field officers are assessing the extent of the damage suffered by citizens.
She noted when this process is completed action from the National Self Help Commission would take effect.
Minister Mac Donald added while the exercise may take soon time she called for patience and maintained the government is committed to serving the affected communities in their time of need.
The Culture Minister also mentioned other measures being carried out such as the distribution of food items and grants to ease the hardship of citizens.
