Senior Magistrate Joanne Connor will go on trial on in the Port of Spain Magistrates Court on November 21st, in relation to traffic offences.

Connor dressed in a black and white flowered dress stood before her sister Senior Magistrate, Lucina Cardenas-Ragoonanan when her matter was called in the 4 a Court.

Because of the absence of Chief Magistrate Sherman Mc Nicholls, Cardenas-Ragoonanan re-fixed the matter and adjourned it to November 21.

Connor who presides in the Siparia Magistrates Court was charged with failure to comply with traffic signals, inconsiderate driving and improper overtaking.

On June 8th 2006, she was driving along the Audrey Jeffers Highway, Mucurapo, when she allegedly gave another driver a bad drive.

It is also alleged that she attempted to make an illegal U-turn upon sighting licensing officers who were at the time conducting road exercises on the Highway.

She was ordered to stop her vehicle and slapped with the charges by licensing officer Newton via summons.
