Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago can look forward to the Beginning of Freedom as it relates to health care, if the Congress of the People forms the next government.
That’s according to COP candidate for Princes Town North – Navi Muradali.
Speaking on the election hustings at Harris promenade in San Fernando last evening, Dr. Muradali described the current state of Public Health care as atrocious.
He also criticized the way in which the system is handled saying that public hospitals continue to be managed and manipulated by political con-men.
Dr. Muradali promises a news prescription of health care under the Cop where patients are the bosses who will be able to receive treatment under one hour from admittance.
He also says the COP will guarantee in less than three months, the right for non-emergency surgeries such as hernia repair, cataracts and fibroids.
In both instances, Dr. Muradali says patients who are not treated within the stipulated time frames can seek redress with the Independent Patients Bureau, which the COP intends to establish.
