Teachers are threatening not to return to classes at the Aranguez Government Primary School, until health and safety problems are addressed at the institution.
The teachers walked off the compound today, complaining about fumes from the sewer system.
Earlier, this week officials of the San Juan \Laventille Regional Corporation attended to the problem.
The students and teachers are also affected by a pigeon infestation problem.
The Education Ministry has since hired a contractor to address the situation.
President of the School’s Parent Teachers Association, Edward Reid tells us the teachers took the decision not to return to classes until the issues are corrected.
