The uncle of the Gocking brothers was shot dead outside a Frederick Street clothing store yesterday evening

54-year-old Marlon Gocking was walking along Frederick Street in Port of Spain when he was ambushed
Police say at approximately 6.45 p.m… an unknown man let loose a barrage of bullets at the Diego Martin businessman… then ran north along Frederick Street.
Gocking was shot once in the temple and bled to death in front the doorsteps of The Underground clothing store.
Within half an hour of the shooting… the lower part of Frederick Street was sealed off to the public.
Gocking has gone on record to indicate… he had been threatened in the wake of his relatives' battle with the State… over the move to acquire 2 SUVs… after they were seized by Customs.

The vehicles were seized by the state …and to this day remain impounded at the Port of Port of Spain
On November 26th last year, Gocking told Magistrate… Lucina Cardenas-Ragoonanan… he felt he was in danger… after being struck with two hypodermic needles… by two men outside Customs House.
