President of the Parent/Teachers Association of Success Laventille Composite School Ronald James is welcoming the introduction of security cameras at the school.

On Tuesday, Education Minister Esther Le Gendre and other ministry representatives personally visited the family of 16 year old Shaquille Roberts.

Roberts was stabbed to death on the school compound on Monday.

As a result, MTS Guards have started checking the book-bags of all students entering the compound.

Speaking on this morning’s Power Breakfast Programme, the PTA President described Monday’s fatality as the worst occurrence in the school’s history.

He maintained modern security measures should be introduced at the institution.

James also expressed concern over the health needs of students at the School.
