Bring back corporal punishment.

This is the call from some parents to deal with violence and indiscipline in the nation’s schools.

Education Minister Esther Le Gendre confirms her Ministry is getting appeals for the measure to be resumed.

Minister Le Genre also responded to reports that some parents of students attending the Success \ Laventille Composite School are considering transferring their children from the institution, following the fatal stabbing of Shaquille Roberts this week.

She said so far her Ministry has not received requests from parents to move their children from the school.

Ms Le Gendre said her Ministry would provide support to the two families that are hurting from the stabbing incident.
