President of the Media Association of Trinidad and Tobago, Joanne Briggs is calling for Journalists to be more assertive in the face of adversity

In an interview with News Power this afternoon she encourages all media practitioners to continue even though they seem to be in a fight when doing their jobs.

Ms. Briggs reminds members of the Journalistic field to embrace their duty to the public in giving accurate information

Despite the opposition which sometimes may come from influential figures.
