Officers of the Chaguanas CID are searching for 2 men who are 300 thousand dollars richer following a daring daylight robbery at Hi-Lo food in the Mid-Centre Mall Chaguanas

The robbery occurred around 11.30 yesterday morning, and police investigators said the duo was dressed in "police uniform".

The officers say the men familiarized themselves with the area since last week by regularly visiting the grocery… posing as customers.

Therefore their presence in the popular grocery chain yesterday morning alarmed no one.

It’s reported the men walked in as usual and picked up to two packets of juice, but this time they asked one of the customer service representatives to speak to the manager of the supermarket.

The duo made their move after being taken to the office.

After robbing the institution the men escaped in a silver coloured car.

No one was seriously injured during the attack.

Officers from the Chaguanas CID were called and a search team had to mobilized with the assistance of the Special Anti Crime Unit's helicopter.

The men, whom police say, staged a well organized robbery escaped in quick time after the hit.

However, the police who were unable to track the men continue to hunt them.
