Opposition MP, Dr. Tim Gopeesingh is condemning the government for its lack of clear directives towards achieving Vision 2020

The UNC MP was speaking in the House of Representatives this afternoon during his contribution towards the debate of the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (amendment) bill 2008.

He says the original idea for vision 2020 was copied from countries like Malaysia and was based on a knowledge based society.

Gopeesingh called on citizens to stop accepting the Government’s excuses for its continued failures.

He says the accreditation bill for Tertiary Institutions in the country has been long over due and the government has been slow in its implementation.
