Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago, Reverend Elvis Elahie says the ordination of non- celibate Homosexual Priests in this country is not currently an issue in the church.
Elahie was speaking in an interview with Newspower this afternoon.
Elahie commented, if the matter ever arises the church is open to debating the topic.
His comments come amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the ordination of non- celibate homosexuals in the United States that is threatening to split the church.
Over 25 of the 111 congregations of the U.S church are threatening to leave over the controversy
Elahie commented it is not up the church to decide on the matter.
