On Wednesday, members of the Bakers Association will meet to discuss the implications of the 24 percent increase in price of flour by the National Flour Mills from tomorrow.

N.F.M. remains confident there would be no increase of prices for the rest of the year.

The company raised the price of the product by almost forty percent in March.

The state-owned company said the increase was dictated by the world market and added it had been attempting to absorb the cost of raw materials, but could no longer do so.

In an interview with News Power this afternoon, President of the Bakers Association Leon Phillips said it’s becoming very difficult not to pass on the hike in the cost of production to customers
