The Electricity Commission is noticing a high absenteeism rate among its staff for the past 3 days but the utility confirms it has back up measures in place to maintain top service to the public.
The union representing the workers, the Oilfield Workers Trade Union is holding conciliatory talks with the Labour Ministry for better terms and conditions.
O.W.T.U. is asking for a 30 percent increase in salary but the utility is offering 15 percent.
