The reason behind Guyana’s decision not to sign into the Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union is really not my business
Prime Minister Patrick Manning’s take on the issue
It comes after St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonzalves called for an answer to the question …saying he wanted to know more about Guyana’s position on the matter.
Dr Gonzalves made the request during an interview with the BBC Caribbean Service at the Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua yesterday.
The agreement was signed by Cariforum countries last December.
When questioned on the matter, Mr Manning said Trinidad and Tobago signed the initiative only because it felt it would bring many benefits to the region.
And he felt there was no reason to expand on why some countries may have reservations about the arrangement.
