Still no clues as to the cause of the early morning fire that destroyed twelve booths at the Peoples Mall on Frederick Street Saturday.

Fire prevention officers visited the scene for the first time around 10 this morning, and are closer to determining the fire’s origin.

Fire officials told Newspower, that because the affected Proprietors cleaned up the area over the weekend, they might have also removed vital pieces of evidence.

Some twelve booths were destroyed and the affected vendors are yet to receive any contact from the Mayor of Port of Spain or any Government official.
