Police have recovered a gun and ammunition acting on information from a suspect in custody.

Reports sate that around 6: 30 p.m yesterday a party of officers were taken by a 23 year old man of Acono Road Maracas to Bamboo Village in Cedros.

A berretta pistol was discovered along with 15 live rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Arms and ammunition charges are expected to be laid against the man.

Meanwhile….

Also around 6:30 p.m yesterday a security officer was robbed by a man posing as a taxi driver in Pointe-a-Pierre.

According to reports…Stephenson Partap aged 30 of Tarouba Road in San Fernando boarded a Taxi at Southern Main Road in Marabella bound for his home.

On reaching Pointe-a-Pierre the driver whipped out a gun and announced a hold up.

Partap was relieved of $40 cash, his cell phone valued at $300 and over $1000 in Jewelry.

The phony taxi driver then dropped him off at Battoo Avenue in Marabella.

Police Constable George of Marabella is conducting inquiries.
