According to visiting Ugandan Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kutesa, crime is insignificant in this country, compared to other parts of the world.
In a joint press conference with counterpart Minister Arnold Piggott this morning, Kutesa outlined that the issue of crime must not be generalised.
Instead, he says an approach specific to a country’s culture and type will help to address the issue.
Kutesa noted that from his standpoint, citizens are not significantly affected by unlawful activity.
Expressing similar sentiments was Mr. Piggott as he believes that it is necessary to treat the causes and not the symptoms of crime.
Senator Piggott also disclosed that Prime Minister Patrick Manning was happy that the visiting African Official was pleased with the Trinidad and Tobago’s environment.
