The Union of Members Clubs and Lottery Workers are still not satisfied with their status after yet another unfruitful meeting with Minister of Finance Conrad Enill.

The Prime Minister is standing firm on his decision to close the Gambling Industry, calling it “Evil”, however the Union of Members Clubs and Lottery Workers are claiming it is a vice, which can be controlled.

At a Press Conference this morning, Executive Member of the Union Cindy Gibbs said that the Industry, which employs in excess of Seven Thousand Workers, could be regulated

Union President Andy Creece believes that in the event that the Industry be shut down and workers retrained in other areas, there is still no guarantee of the same or increased wages that they presently enjoy, and this could lead to problems.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the UMCLW is also of the view that the Government has no plans to retrain the Lottery workers, a large percentage of whom are over the age of 60
