A 28 year old San Fernando man was yesterday fined 9 thousand dollars by a San Fernando magistrate

Corey Clarke…a labourer…recently admitted to having marijuana in his possession

Clarke, of Medeine Street, appeared before Magistrate Melvin Daniel, who presides in the Second Court, and pleaded guilty to having 90 grammes of marijuana.

Police court prosecutor, Sgt Wendell Fernando, told the court at approximately 3:40 pm on Monday… PCs Ronnie Forde and Quintin Cupid of Southern Task Force were on mobile patrol at LeGendre Street… when Clarke was arrested.
The court heard when Clarke was found to be acting suspiciously… he was searched by PC Forde

The illegal drugs were found …packaged in a black plastic bag…in Clarke’s right front pants pocket.
