After enduring a similar fate a little over two years ago, Vendors at the Peoples Mall on Frederick Street Port of Spain have lost all confidence in the Fire Services.
After Saturday’s early morning fire, who’s cause is yet to be determined, which destroyed the businesses belonging to twelve persons, their owners are already begun picking up the pieces.
According to President of the Peoples Mall Company Limited, Glenford Jones, the members will meet later today to plan their next move
After the initial fire, Vendors used the burnt out site to reopen their businesses, as they needed to continue earning a living until the Mall is rebuilt.
According to Vendor Sandra Ogiste, who lost over 36 Thousand Dollars worth in items, they have no idea when the works to rebuild the Mall will commence, but they also have mounting debts, which they need to pay off in the interim.
