San Fernando police are investigating the armed robbery of a trio that occurred yesterday.

Reports state that Michael Meighoo, an engineer of Gulf View, Genevira Carpenter, a Geo Mechanic Analyst of West Moorings and Genice Dessie, a Port of Spain technician were atop the hill at around 2:45 p.m.

A lone gunman approached them and they were together robbed of 2 cell phones valued at $1600, $900 in cash, $7000 gold Jewelry and a camera valued at $200 U.S dollars.

The man then escaped with his loot on foot.

At around 11 last night…Aldric Cunman, a 65 year old taxi driver of lady Buird Crescent in Pleasantville was driving his taxi when he picked up 3 male passengers on Coffee Street.

The 3 men were headed to Pleasantville.

1 passenger put a knife to Cunman’s throat and a struggle ensued.

In the end, Cunman was thrown out of his vehicle valued at $48 000 and the men drove off.
