A North Manzanilla gardener was placed on $250,000 bail after pleading not guilty to a charge of possession of a fire arm and five rounds of live ammunition.
Michael Douglas appeared before magistrate Cheryl Ann Blake, in the Sangre Grande court yesterday charged with the offences.
The charge was laid by detective Allan Khan of the Sangre Grande Police.
The 27 year old accused could not post the bail and he was told he could apply to a judge in chambers for fresh bail.
The matter was adjourned to August 3.
Douglas was held by police over the weekend in the eastern district.
