Government continues to ignore the call of the Opposition for the complete restructuring of the Police Complaint’s Authority in Port of Spain.

Opposition Senator, Adesh Nanan brought this point to the table yesterday during his contributions in the Senate

At the time he was commenting on the issue of police investigating their colleagues… in cases of suspected illegal killings.

He made the statement in light of the recent spate of police killings within the past 3 days.

In the meantime…Attorney General, Brigid Annisette George, maintains Government too… is not pleased with the increase in the number of cases of illegal killings… at the hands of members of the police service.

Mrs Annisette George was also speaking yesterday during the budget debate in the senate.
