Come September 9th the Congress of the People will celebrate what political leader Winston Dookeran calls a freedom from the trapped politics of the PNM and UNC.
2 days ago, the political party hosted a media briefing to outline plans for the party’s 1 year anniversary.
In his address, Dookeran noted that the CoP represents a new political direction for Trinidad and Tobago.
He said the party is poised to assume leadership.
The St Augustine MP boasted that within his constituency, some 200 persons join the party weekly.
Dookeran added that his party will govern the country based on sound moral principles.
He highlighted some reportedly questionable issues within the ruling administration.
