Executive Member of the Caribbean Union Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, Pastor Clive Dottin is condemning all forms of gambling.
At a news conference held Tuesday, Chairman of the Union of Members Club and Lottery Workers, Kenroy Phillip chastised Prime Minister Patrick Manning for using religious in support of shutting down the gaming industry.
He added that the Catholic Archbishop has taken the position that there is nothing wrong with gambling, once done in moderation.
However, when contacted, Pastor Dottin maintained that individuals should not take risks with hard earned money.
He called for compassion in the arriving at a resolution for the highly publicised issue between the casino workers and Government, in providing alternative employment for the workers.
Pastor Dottin cautioned citizens against what he terms as short term-fixes.
