Cabinet is giving Caribbean Airlines the green light to acquire the majority share holdings in Tobago Express and take over operations of the Air Bridge between Trinidad and Tobago.

This is one of the decisions the government have taken to bring some suitability to the air bridge which has plagued with many challenges over the years.

Works and Transport Minister Colm Imbert says the government will pumped twenty four million U.S. for upgrade to Tobago Express fleet of aircraft.

Speaking during the weekly post cabinet news briefing at White Hall this afternoon, Minister Imbert said he is confident the new structure would work.

He said the new structure would also cater to the needs of international passengers.
