Workers at the Water and Sewerage Authority are planning to stage a protest at their headquarters in St. Joseph today.

This action follows a driver of the transport department that contracted tuberculosis sometime last week.

Workers say the driver complained of feeling unwell and was taken to see the company’s doctor….the physician confirmed that their co worker had TB.

According to reports the Ministry of Health officials also visited man’s home and offered treatment to members of his family.

However workers say they would not be going to work until the entire building is deemed safe.

Tuberculosis is a highly contagious airborne disease.
